We are trying to teach the boys that they have to work to earn money. We are also teaching them to not spend more than they earn or else they will go in debt. In other words, Lew says "they are already overqualified to serve in Congress!"

Show me the money!
Every Sunday night at our house is "commission" night. That is when the boys get paid their "commission" for the week for doing jobs around the house. We got them Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace Jr. for kids, and the boys really enjoy earning their own cash. They've bought lots of things: a dragon, a Shrek video game, lots of Scholastic books, a movie, a monkey mask from the zoo, and a Bumblebee toy.
